• "Kappa" is a work by Japanese author Akutagawa Ryuunosuke. Candid Friend is the theme for Nitori Kawashiro, the boss of the third stage of the tenth Touhou game, Mountain of Faith, who is a kappa friendly to humans. She tries to chase the player (Reimu or Marisa) away from the mountain not because she is unkind, but for the heroine's own good.
